DESCRIERE Modern House Three is an overview of the most innovative houses built around the world in the most recent years, following the highly successful publication of Phaidon's Modern House (1993) and Modern House 2 (2000). This book presents 33 houses in 15 countries, by both distinguished architects and up-and-coming young practitioners, including David Adjaye (London), Tadao Ando (Japan), Shigeru Ban (Japan), Carlos Ferrater (Spain), Sean Godsell (Australia), Kengo Kuma (China), Richard Meier (United States) and Julie Snow (Canada).
A survey of 33 of the world's most innovative new houses from around the world by internationally prominent architects such as Tadao Ando, Carlos Ferrater, Glenn Murcutt and Richard Meier, as well as up-and-coming young practitioners
Documents houses in 15 countries and in a wide variety of sites ranging from the starkly beautiful desert in Arizona to dense cities such as Tokyo
Each project is presented in depth with superior colour photographs of exteriors and interiors, plans, drawings and descriptive text by a widely published architecture critic
Inspiring selection and thorough documentation will appeal to architects and interior designers as well as the general public interested in residential design and renovation
